I was surprised at how fast I received the PlayStation 3 game of Superman that I had only just ordered only two evenings ago. I didn’t pay anything extra for fast shipping, so I’m impressed with Gamers Factory on Amazon Marketplace and should be getting the last gift of the season in the next day or so, which I also ordered from them. It isn’t often that I get to say good things about businesses these days, but I have to give credit when credit is due.

I’m not much into watching reality shows or cooking shows for that matter, but I have to say that Chef Gordon Ramsey is the Bomb and I always enjoy catching one of his many shows when I can. His one show is called the “F word” and he always has me on the floor rolling. British humor has that effect on me, Benny Hill, now that was The Man!

The phone has been ringing more and the door bell has been used more than normal lately and people are starting to get excited about the holidays that are fast approaching us. My place is normally a pretty busy place, I have a lot of friends that feel comfortable here and tend to come over and stay for as long as it takes and you never know who you are going to find on the sofa in the mornings, but it has become even more hectic and busy around here.

For example, yesterday an old family friends kid (who is 17 now) popped in with his new girlfriend, along with her 2 year old from a previous relationship, and they stayed until way after the baby’s bedtime and I thought that they would never leave. Having a 2 year old in the house is exhausting and I was getting a bit stressed at the end of the evening, it was good seeing him and meeting them but my god they definitely over stayed their welcome. I hate it when that happens, it is just wrong and rude.

Instead of spending the up and coming weekend shopping for presents, I’ve taken care of all of my shopping, I am going to spend my days doing a few house hold chores that have been neglected. The weather is supposed to be cold and wet, so going out and tossing a football around or shooting hoops is out of the question, so inside duties are calling my name and I am reluctantly going to attempt to answer the call. Nothing major but enough to take up most of the week end I imagine.

Hopefully I can find a buddy or two that will come over and lend a hand, having a second set of hands will make the tasks so much easier and I’ve got plenty of beer and munchies to share for the effort. We will blast a few tunes and take care of business and watch the games that are scheduled to air this weekend.

Jay Leno ends his long contract with The Tonight Show come spring of 2009 and is making plans on moving his monologue and music to the 10:00pm time slot. I can’t really imagine how this will all play out, some say it will do good and of course there are lots of critics out there that are all ready finding faults with this new plan of action that Jay is taking.  As long as he keeps show casing good quality musicians I’ll be happy.

I’m withholding any comments of judgement at this point, we will all see soon enough.
