We have one place in town that has comedy every week. The club is a little dive called Zanies. It has a tiny stage and a bunch of tables and chairs that make the crowd packed in like sardines. The food is just bar food and costs too mcuh, so I never plan on actually eating there. Last time I was there they charged a two drink minimum on top of a $20 admission ticket. But the show was funny and worth the money. Afterwards, the headliner came out from backstage and mingled. We went over and said hello. It was cool to have access to the guy. I’m not sure how to spell his name without looking it up, but his name is like John Pinchett or Pinchete or something. He was on the Seinfeld finale and is a funny stand up comedian. I’d go again if he comes back to Zanies.

Casey Kasem has had a long and prosperous career doing dedications of songs on syndicated radio stations across the country. But it must not be as easy to do as he makes it appear. One of his producer’s recorded this Casey Kasem meltdown and posted it on YouTube. (Explicit but not as bad as I hear at work.)
