There is just nothing worth watching on TV these days. All the regular shows ended a long time ago and are doing reruns. To be honest, there were not all that many shows worth watching the first time. I sure don’t want to watch them a second time. I’m hoping some of the cable channels will launch a few summer season shows so I am not forced to watch reruns for the next 3 months.
This whole week, Nashville’s clubs are dedicated to songwriters. We are hosting the Tin Pan South festival and conference. This is the perfect time to hear the people who write songs perform them the way they wrote them. An all access pass is only $90 for unlimited shows at a dozen different venues. Looking forward to hearing a lot of great music this week.
Billy Joe Shave is one of the best songwriters ever. His songs have been recorded and performed by hundreds of musicians. His life has been a typical country song, as well. If you get a chance to hear one of his shows, you won’t be disappointed.
The little bit that I watch TV is usually on CBS. But for the past several days they have been broadcasting nothing but college basketball games for the March Madness tournament games. I like a good pro game of basketball – live – once in a while. But watching basketball on TV is boring as hell. I am just leaving the TV off and listening to music for the night.
