For Valentine’s Day, I serenaded my girlfriend from the front yard of her house after she got home from work. I’ve never done anything like that before. It was pretty cool. She loved it, especially since we didn’t get to spend the together, as she had to work all day and has an early shift tomorrow.

When I heard there was going to be a concert at one of the casinos in Tunica, I decided to drive over and buy my tickets right at the box office. I figured I might have a shot at getting better seats than if I used Ticketmaster.

I got to the casino the night before and figured the box office would open at 9:00 am or maybe 10:00. So I got up around 7:00 am, had a big buffet breakfast, and headed over to the box office. When I got there at a couple minutes past 9:00, there was no one in line and no one around except the guy behind the cage. So I walked up and asked for two tickets. But they were sold out already.WTF?

Great tune by a young band out of Georgia called the Zac Brown Band with their hit song, “Chicken Fried.” The video is being aired on CMT and there are a couple different versions of it. There’s a live band version and the more typical music video. The song is from their current album out, called “The Foundation.”

If you get a chance to see the ZacBrown Band you should go – it’s guaranteed to be a fun show and lots of good times music. These guys are good musicians and good people. Check them out.

Instead of spending the up and coming weekend shopping for presents, I’ve taken care of all of my shopping, I am going to spend my days doing a few house hold chores that have been neglected. The weather is supposed to be cold and wet, so going out and tossing a football around or shooting hoops is out of the question, so inside duties are calling my name and I am reluctantly going to attempt to answer the call. Nothing major but enough to take up most of the week end I imagine.

Hopefully I can find a buddy or two that will come over and lend a hand, having a second set of hands will make the tasks so much easier and I’ve got plenty of beer and munchies to share for the effort. We will blast a few tunes and take care of business and watch the games that are scheduled to air this weekend.
